18404093

A wedding florist finds love and trouble in this delightful new novel by the New York Times bestselling author of Ladies' Night

A savannah florist is about to score the wedding of a lifetime—one that will solidify her career as the go-to-girl for society nuptials. Ironically, Cara Kryzik doesn't believe in love, even though she creates beautiful flower arrangements to celebrate them. But when the bride goes missing and the wedding is in jeopardy, Cara must find the bride and figure out what she believes in. Maybe love really does exist outside of fairy tales after all.

Told with Mary Kay Andrew's trademark wit and keen eye for detail, mark your calendars for Save the
Date!

I loved this book!  What a great read!!!!  Funny and spot on when it comes to how love and family can be both the best and worst of us.  With humor and spunk this story is woven into so many aspect of the human spirit, from love, to family, to crazy life circumstances, to drama on many levels, to how life can be funny and amazing.  When you mix this all up you have yourself an amazing story and when you add in wonderful characters what you have now is a brilliant read, which is perfect for summer and book clubs, 5 stars!

Q.  What inspires your writing?
A. I'm inspired by human nature--the good, the bad, the indifferent, the ways we connect and disconnect, and the unexpected twists that can turn a woman's life upside down.
Q.  What is your favorite thing about being a writer?
A. I love telling stories--and then connecting with readers and booksellers.
Q.  What is the toughest part of being a writer?
A. Story-telling is hard work. There's no one way to do it, and there are no short-cuts. Eventually, you have to sit down, alone, in a room, and figure out the beginning, middle and end.
Q.  If you could not be writer, what would you do/be?
A. I might be an itinerant antique dealer--traveling all over the world, finding treasures and bringing them back to find a new home.
Q.  What would the story of your life be entitled?
A. Not bad for a girl
Q.  What is your favorite book of all time?
A. Rebecca, by Daphne duMaurier
Q.  Which character from ANY book are you most like?
A. Maybe Betsy, from the Maud Hart Lovelace Betsy-Tacy books.
Q.  What character from all of your books are you most like?
A. Weezie Foley, from my Savannah series.
Q.  Which book would you love to take a weekend vacation inside of?
A. Under The Tuscan Sun by Frances Mayes
Q.  What do you want to be remembered for 100 years from now?
A. Writing good books and being a good person.
Q.  What is your favorite season?
A.Early summer.
Q.  What inspired your book cover(s)?  Or what is your favorite book cover and why?
A. I want my book covers to lure readers inside with the promise of a great time and a fun read. SUMMER RENTAL practically screams "Read me!"
Q.  Tell me something funny that happened while on a book tour or while promoting your book.
A. My first grandchild, Molly, was born while I was on book tour for The Fixer-Upper, on July 13. That week, I found out the book was Number 13 on the New York Times Bestseller week--so 13 is a very lucky number for me.
Q.  Are you working on something new?
A. Always! I have the title and the barest outline of a plot, but that's about it.
Q.  Anything you want to say to followers of this blog or those that are just stopping by?
A.  Save the Date!--and thanks for stopping by.
